Program & Delivery

How DataMiner Empower is delivered, scheduled, and measured.

Note

Based on the alignment meeting of 5 October 2026. Names, dates, and incentives are to be confirmed.

Ambition

Reach, inspire, and empower as many people as possible to drive intelligence on their DataMiner Systems.

Measure of success Consumption of intelligence across DataMiner Systems worldwide
How we measure Existing customer insight dashboards: after each event, follow up which participating customers start using intelligence

Scalable and Compoundable

Trainer time is limited, so the program must scale without trainers being booked for trainings all year.

  • This documentation is the central knowledge base. All training information lives here – from trainer guides to participant enablement – so different styles of trainings and engagements can be generated from it.
  • Learn and update after every event. Lessons from the dry run and each event (e.g. Australia) are added here.
  • Reuse content across formats. The same sessions are compressed or extended depending on the format.

Milestones

flowchart LR
    DR[Internal dry run
end of October] --> EV[Events
Stockholm · Frankfurt · Australia] --> EM[Empower
March: full program]
Milestone When Format Trainer Notes
Internal dry run End of October to be defined Jarne Valuable for Skyline and gives feedback – see Dry Run
Stockholm to be confirmed 1 day Jarne Compressed, hands-on focused
Frankfurt to be confirmed 1 day, in German Justin Audience already very DataMiner-minded
Australia to be confirmed 2 days Jarne Expected participants include telcos (e.g. Optus, Telstra) and strong interest from energy & utilities
Empower March Full program to be confirmed Full-fledged program, including agent-to-agent as it becomes available
Tip

Not every event needs all five verticals. Prepare the verticals that match the expected audience – Stockholm, Frankfurt, and Australia together already cover four of the five.

Delivery Formats

Format Day 1 Day 2 Hands-on sessions
2 days (e.g. Australia) Management and theory: vision, DataMiner Intelligence, 30-60-90, use cases from existing customers. Engineers are welcome. Hands-on: sessions 2–5 1–1.5 h each
1 day (e.g. Stockholm, Frankfurt) Compressed: short keynote, then hands-on – 1–1.5 h each
Online Split into 3–4 sessions (like SatOps) – Open-ended: participants go as far as they want, towards their end state

For management audiences, the hands-on sessions can be replaced by a demo of the same exercises.

Online Follow-Up

In the online format, participants follow the Guided Journey at their own pace. Uploading their app in the Empower Companion pushes it into the training program, where it can earn DevOps points. Submitting the journey summary shares the result with the training owner.

Rules for Hands-On Content

Rule Why
Only use what is in the official preview (available in November) What participants do on the training system, they must be able to do at home
No prototypes ("popcorns") in hands-on sessions Prototypes can be shown in demos, not used hands-on
Agent-to-agent stays a demo until it is available Expected for the March program
Keep it simple and use what we have The current App Builder must be able to digest the backend easily

Dry Run

When End of October
Who Colleagues who are not very familiar with coding or AI – for example sales. If they can create an app and an agent, anyone can.
Goal Validate content, timing, and environment; collect feedback
Output Updates to this documentation and the content

After the Training

Ideas to keep participants engaged – to be confirmed:

Incentive Description
DevOps points For pushing their app into the training program through the Empower Companion upload
Participation badge A digital DataMiner badge that can be shared online
Pioneer badge For participants who show what they built after the training, once the first version of DataMiner Intelligence is available (December)
Exclusive stickers DataMiner Intelligence stickers only given to training participants

Initiative Relation to Empower
Value Intelligence Package (internal docs) How any CS team can run an intelligence program: identifying problem statements and making value measurable. The keynote and vision reuse it.
Value-mindset training (with Emma) Training on value delivery and business outcomes that can be reused before the hands-on sessions

Open Questions

# Question
1 Order of sessions 3 and 4: keep app first (understand the data, then add intelligence) or start with the specialized agent in the DataMiner Assistant chat, aligned with the message that everything starts in DataMiner Intelligence?
2 Agent dashboards are not yet natively integrated in App Builder – which integration techniques can participants use by the events?
3 In-person materials: on this website, printed, or both?
4 Which badge or incentive can be confirmed?
5 Who receives the journey summaries from the Empower Companion, and how are they sent? See the Guided Journey open questions.
